General flooring repairs
The repair process will depend on the type and extent of the damage, as well as the type of flooring involved.
A flooring expert will be able to assess the situation and recommend the best course of action to repair the flooring and restore its appearance and durability.
We perform general floor repairs helping to restore all kinds of flooring to negate replacement if possible.
We can perform the following repairs to a high standard:
Replacing damaged boards
If a section of the flooring is severely damaged, the flooring expert may need to remove and replace the damaged boards. For solid wood and engineered wood flooring, this involves removing the damaged boards and replacing them with new ones. For LVT, SPC, or carpet, the damaged section may need to be cut out and replaced with new material.
Sanding and refinishing
For minor scratches or dents in solid wood or engineered wood flooring, the flooring expert may be able to sand down the affected area and refinish it to match the rest of the flooring. This can also be done for parquet flooring.
Patching
For small areas of damage, the flooring expert may be able to patch the affected area with wood filler or a similar material. The patch can be sanded and refinished to blend in with the rest of the flooring.
Re-stretching
For carpets that have become loose or wrinkled, the flooring expert may be able to re-stretch the carpet to remove the wrinkles and improve its appearance.
Re-grouting
For ceramic or porcelain tile flooring, the flooring expert may need to re-grout sections of the flooring that have cracked or come loose.
Cleaning and polishing
For some types of flooring, such as LVT or SPC, the flooring expert may be able to clean and polish the surface to remove minor scratches and restore its appearance.
